Is there a time &/or geographic location you frequent when you time travel?

I tend to return to the years & geographic location surrounding college.

I use the phrase as it's used in the novel Slaughterhouse Five. Chaplain's Assistant Billy Pilgrim, a disoriented, ill-trained American soldier, is captured by the Germans in the Battle of the Bulge. For unexplained reasons, Billy has come "unstuck in time." He is kidnapped by extraterrestrial aliens from the planet Tralfamadore. They exhibit him in a zoo with movie star Montana Wildhack as his mate. The Tralfamadorians, who can see in four dimensions, have already seen every instant of their lives. They believe they cannot choose to change anything about their fates, but can choose to concentrate upon any moment in their lives, and Billy becomes convinced of the correctness of their theories. Billy travels forward and back in time, reliving occasions of his life, real and fantastic. He spends time on Tralfamadore; in Dresden; in the War, walking in deep snow before his German capture; in his post-war married life in the U.S.A. of the 1950s; and in the moment of his murder.

What is this thread asking us?

To answer the tittle, It really depends on the time travel machine.

Time bubbles, where no de aging or aging occurs on the inside must have some sort of dock to the position wanted, but must be flexible to account for the geographical body desired to be. 1000 years ago, who knows there the earth was? (moving around the galaxy as well, and gallaxy universe, universe multiverse, etc). Thats why it must be flexible.

Non time bubble machines are inherently dangerous, an only go back to the date of the first time machine, and the user may be unconceived by the time they arrive. They will be docked to wherever they are because they move along with the planet. as the machine goes back in time.

Both flawed.

But as in slaughter house 5, I am not yet unstuck in time, yet there are some deceased I would like to meet.

So it goes.

For the amateurs, you can respond as if the places you frequent when your mind wanders, and the times. Even when you daydream.

To the outsider, that's what it looks like when you time travel.

Is that like being held back and having to repeat a grade in school?

OOooo. Good one!

Come on, peoples. Don't be afraid of what other people will think. Most of us have little control over where we go when we time travel.

Just tell the place &/or time you go to.

Yes, I was trying to trick billy into saying yes, which would mean he was stuck in time.

Every time I time travel I arrive just a moment too late. Whenever I show up everyone says the party's over.
